This show caught my attention during my study years, and I’m still busy catching up with the overwhelming number of episodes that have been produced since the 1960s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Someday, I had the idea to depict the main character’s different regenerations in a stained glass style. So far, I’ve arrived at number 13, but I’d love to continue this series after I’ve had the opportunity to watch the newer episodes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The First Doctor, played by William Hartnell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personally, I prefer the sillier Doctors, but the grumpy grandfather is still charming in his own way.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Second Doctor, played by Patrick Troughton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I instantly loved this one – too bad that so many episodes from his time were lost.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Third Doctor, played by Jon Pertwee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More serious again, but definitely cool. Gotta admire someone who pauses a sword fight to munch a sandwich.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Fourth Doctor, played by Tom Baker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hard to form my own opinion when the public consensus is that he’s THE Doctor… But yeah, I like him a lot.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Fifth Doctor, played by Peter Davison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think he’s a bit unspectacular compared to the others, but I love when his dangerous side comes out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Sixth Doctor, played by Colin Baker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I found his abrasive behavior surprisingly entertaining. But the actor would have deserved better scripts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Seventh Doctor, played by Sylvester McCoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another Doctor whom I liked immediately. I love the combination of eccentric uncle and clever manipulator.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Eighth Doctor, played by Paul McGann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charming guy – I would have loved to see more of him. The movie itself was a mixed bag to me.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Ninth Doctor, played by Christopher Eccleston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The one who pulled me into this universe, with a fascinating blend of goofiness and wounded soul.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Tenth Doctor, played by David Tennant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The one who shares the position as “my” Doctor with his short-lived predecessor and who solidified my interest in this show.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Eleventh Doctor, played by Matt Smith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I loved the contradiction between his youthful appearance and the tired old soul behind that front.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Twelfth Doctor, played by Peter Capaldi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A bitter old man who nevertheless manages to be an adorable goofball. Perfect combination.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Thirteenth Doctor, played by Jodie Whittaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wonderfully out of touch with the world, emotionally broken, yet still grinning at the enemies who believe they’re in control. Love that.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The War Doctor, played by John Hurt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was lovely to see the hardened veteran find new hope and open up over the course of the movie.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Fugitive Doctor, played by Jo Martin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hard to judge since we only get short glimpses at her. But she seems very grounded, similar to the War Doctor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
